Adrenaline Pumpkin
WEXT

Every October, four guys come out of the pumpkin patch to play groovy tunes to the folks who come out to Sunnyside Gardens in Saratoga.  Johnny Twoseeds, A. Pumpkin, C. Pumpkin and O. Pumpkin are Adrenaline Pumpkin.  See these guys Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4p.

Somehow we convinced them to leave the pumpkin patch and the donuts and apple cider to come play a few tunes for us on the radio.

Jeff Brisbin
WEXT

Saratoga Springs musician, Local 518 Jeff Brisbin has released his latest album - a labor of love for sure. It's called "Foreverly." He joined us to talk about the genesis of the album, play a few songs, and share some good times.

Carmen Lookshire
Kiki Vassilakis Photography / http://kikivassilakis.com/

Local 518 singer-songwriter, Carmen Lookshire tells us she has an old soul, and she loves the music of the 30s and 40s.  Her sound and style may belie that, but in this session, we'll hear her sing Chris Wienk's favorite song a cappella.  Plus, she sings an old Nat "King" Cole song. In addition, we hear the song she and Kenyan pop reggae singer Mtu Saba worked on together called "Don't Ask Mommy Why."

The Super Secret Local 518 Compilation
Agency

The email we received in the wee hours of July 7th, 2017 read as follows:

Hello WEXT Friends!

Happy Birthday!

The Super Secret 518 crew is a small, anonymous squad of local musicians who decided to organize a surprise compilation of Local 518 covers performed by other Local 518 performers. We figured there'd be no better way to thank you for your crucial role in the community than to pay tribute to this community in song.

WEXT

He's a writer, producer, performer, musician, lion tamer and phlebotomist.  Okay maybe not the last two, but Sandy McKnight is certainly an entertaining jack-of-all-trades!  Sandy dropped by to play some songs and talk about his music projects, tv show and upcoming shows.

Keep up with Sandy at his website.

Some Dad's like their radio eclectic, unique, diverse. Have him listen to Exit 97.7 WEXT tonight at 11pm for The Local 518 Show with Andy Gregory (he's a cool Daddy-O, too!). He's sure to like something from the playlist, from the Adirondack Angels cd by Julie Venne-Hogan (of Beartracks), Lüt - The Band, Anthony Fallacaro, The Maloy Brothers, Russel the Leaf, Angela Bove, or Sean Rowe?

Peter Annello
WEXT

16 year old guitarist and singer songwriter, Peter Annello dropped by to play some songs and talk about his influences and songwriting.  Watch for Peter at various area open mics. His favorite is at Caffe Lena.  He is expanding the places and types of shows he's playing out at.  Get out and support the Local 518.
